Top 5 Las Vegas Trade Show Tips
With years of experience installing custom trade show exhibits for clients in Las Vegas – including the world famous CES – we thought we would share a few tips to help you prepare for a smooth Sin City experience.
ADAPT TO THE CLIMATE CONDITIONS
While Las Vegas is known for its scorching temperatures, conference centers and casino hotels are blasting the A.C. so you will need to be able to remove/add layers to adapt to the various temperature changes and avoid getting sick. Also make sure to bring plenty of water bottles and hydrate regularly.
USE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Don’t waste time looking for space around busy parking lots or walking miles in the heat – been there, done that! Rather, use the convenient monorail which stops at all major hotels as well as at the Las Vegas Convention Center. If you don’t stay on the Strip, then use rideshares and taxis which are available everywhere. That said, be ready to walk whether it’s going through casinos or wandering down the expo so make sure to bring comfortable shoes.
ATTEND INDUSTRY PARTIES
Las Vegas is known for its industry parties – some wilder than others – which usually start as soon as the expos close. Because most people tend to get loose after a long day of work, these parties offer a great opportunity for casual networking so take your pack of business cards and get ready to mingle.
BOOK YOUR STAY IN ADVANCE
If you’ve been to CES, you already know that most major hotels get fully booked during the expo, some exhibitors and attendees reserving a year in advance for the next edition. So don’t wait until the last minute to get a room otherwise you will end in some shady motel or miles away from the Strip.
GET PROFESSIONAL TRANSPORTATION AND INSTALLION FOR YOUR EXHIBIT
If you want to avoid major headaches when it comes to your booth logistics, use the same company to deliver, install and break down your exhibit on site. Using a full service company like RCS Custom Exhibits will make things easy as we not only can create a custom trade show exhibit for you, but we will also handle everything, from delivery to set up and break down.
